Gault et Millau 2010

Christian Beyer has made his presence felt as a true interpreter of the Pfersigberg Grand Cru and is certain to make his domain one of the greats in years to come.

The late harvest wines are resplendent this year, with a fine richness and satisfactory  volume. Wines to be laid down for some time so that the liqueurs dissolve. The 2007 vintage, which has a certain freshness, allows for a higher density in the balance, as in the fine Gewurztraminer  with a finish of apple, aniseed and blood orange. The feel on the palate is vibrant with the Pinot Gris Vendanges Tardives 2007.

Also taste the Pinot Noir cuvée de l’Hostellerie 2007 which is concentrated but moderately extracted, allowing the floral notes to develop from a base of cherry and smoky scents. Finally, the elegant Eichberg 2007 Riesling is of a breathtaking complexity.
